About
Our kitchen believes in the beauty of simplicity.
We’ve worked extremely hard to keep everything about our process and our food simple. No need to make it complicated. Fresh ingredients are all we need to bring your food’s flavor to life.
Our menu is like “Asian street food with soul”. Noodle Station’s owner and head chef, Walter Harris, undoubtedly got his inspiration for the restaurant in the motherland of Ramen, Japan. He journeyed halfway across the world on a two-week vacation to the country, where he camped out in a Buddhist temple and survived on noodle bowls at hole-in-the-wall izakayas (Japanese pubs). From that experience, the idea of Noodle Station was born.
Harris, who was brought up devouring all of the soul food his mom used to make, was able to combine his deeply rooted love for home-cooked meals and an innovative restaurant Asian fusion concept to bring to life his vision for Noodle Station.
The concept is: Your Bowl, Your Choice.
Giving the build-your-own-bowl concept an Asian twist, Noodle Station lets guests choose from a variety of bases including udon, ramen, soba, sweet potato glass noodles, or veggies. From there, guests choose from the three homemade broths (chicken-oyster-ginger, pork-based tonkatsu, or sweet potato veggie). The bowl is then topped with a choice of six proteins (brisket, pulled pork, chicken, candied bacon, soy-marinated egg, or tofu) and seasonal veggies. Don’t let our ramen take all of the fame either. Our steamed bao buns and salads are fan favorites, too.
We truly offer something for everyone at Noodle Station. We designed our menu so our food makes its way to your heart ASAP, no matter if you’re a meat-lover or a vegan. Guests’ ability to combine delicious, fresh ingredients and customize as they please is what makes us a regular stop on locals’ list of “go-to” spots.
About the Founder
Walter Harris
Walter Harris is a service industry professional with nearly 20 years of restaurant experience. After turning his childhood dream of traveling to Japan into a reality, Harris decided to try his luck with starting a noodles restaurant after seeing firsthand how much influence noodles have had on the Japanese culture, Harris felt there was an opportunity to bring that same influence back to the states in a fast-casual-style restaurant.
After partnering with Mitchel Zelman and a few other partners, Harris‘s vision for Noodle Station came together and is now a thriving restaurant in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
